Folsom complex

Prehistoric culture of North America on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains that dates to approximately 9000–8000 BCE. Its material culture is characterized by leaf-shaped stone projectile points having a concave base with side projections and a longitudinal groove on each face, as well as a variety of scrapers, knives, and blades. The complex was first identified in 1926 at Folsom, N.M. Like the Clovis people, Folsom people hunted megafauna and a variety of smaller game and gathered wild plant foods.
